VS Machines

VS Machines is a tribute film to Ayaka Takahashi and Misaki Matsutomo, Japan's first Olympic badminton doubles gold medalists. Directed by Alan Williams in collaboration with WPP, it drops the pair into a futuristic dystopia where competition is the only reason for existence.

The film takes the all too common weight of toxic expectation placed on women and repackages it so you see it with new eyes and truly feel it, told through the poetic language of humans turned to machines and a towering kaiju.
