This was a 4 week project that was part of my Production Studio class during my 1st semester of Senior year at RCAD. My goal was to focus on concept/story, lighting/texturing and compositing. I am a big fan of the franchise and always wanted to create a piece for it. This is in homage to Bethesda and Fallout 76.
I learned a great deal about compositing and linear workflow with AOV's with this project.
I was able to utilize Substance Painter on almost every texture in this piece except for the light pole that makes a brief appearance in shot 5.
Rendering was achieved in OTOY Octane Render out of Cinema 4D
Assets:
Quixel Megascans - rubble, twigs, a few cement blocks
Turbosquid - fan, barrel, holotape(texture), ammo
Sketchfab - T45 Power Armor Helmet , nuka cola bottle.

fallout 76 teaser
goal: to push concept/story with a visuals/camera by creating a path to the vault via a ever increasing camera angle that reveals more and more of what lays ahead. Secondary focus on lighting, texturing, rendering and compositing.
description: fallout 76 is a video game franchise owned by bethesda studios. this trailer was my personal fan art for the release of the game. unfortunately, the game was a flop on release and lost much moment because of it. either way, it was a joy to make this and a great learning experience.
